Cody Bowen was born and raised on his family’s century old farm in the small town of Spruce Pine, Alabama and his small town roots are evident in his writing style. His small town backroad riding, campfire pickin’ storytelling style will take you back to those same dusty dirt roads in your mind. Cody began his journey into writing and playing after high school. Sharing the stage with the likes of Rick Carter, Stan Foster, and Barry Waldrop (of Rollin’ In The Hay), Zac Brown, Oteil Burbridge, Jason Isbell, and many more. He has also cowritten with Jimmy Thrasher, Bruce Burch, and Mark Narmore.

“My Wife and Our Love, Our Family, My Home, My Town, My Friends…My People…My Life…That’s what I write about. I think that’s why my songs resonate with your salt of the earth, hard working folks. The greatest compliment I hear is ‘Man i felt like you were singing about me’ …there’s really no cooler praise you can give a songwriter.”

Cody Also has quite a repertoire of fun cover songs in his live show lineup. Everything from Classic Country (CASH, HANK, George Jones, Keith Whitley), Classic Rock (The Band, Allman Brothers. Lynyrd Skynyrd, James Taylor, Led Zeppelin) Fun 90's Country (Joe Difffie, GARTH, Brooks n Dunn) Pop, Hip Hop and R&B( Prince, Nelly, Blackstreet) Americana (Jason Isbell, Drive By Truckers) New country (Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Riley Green etc) as well as all of those fun good time songs from artists and groups like Corey Smith, Widespread Panic, DAVE, The Grateful Dead, Old Crow Medicine Show and more.

Cody Prides himself of putting a little of his own style into the songs that he covers. You might here a Country version of the Black Crowes "She Talks to Angels" jammed into Nelly's "Ride With ME" leading to one of Cody's very own originals followed up by Prince's "Purple Rain".

It is always a fun interactive ride that keeps the crowd guessing and what could possibly come next.
